Health Services

CommuniCare Health Centers remains dedicated to its founding purpose – to ensure that high quality health care is available to everyone who needs it, and to provide a full range of services from annual exams to pediatric immunizations to treatment for chronic diseases. Over the years, CommuniCare has been able to expand services to include dental, eye care and perinatal programs that meet the needs of our community.

General Medicine


Comprehensive, non-emergency, primary care services are provided for all ages. Services include general physical exams, sexually transmitted disease screening, TB testing, hypertension care and diabetic treatment. Some specialty clinics are offered by referral.

Pediatrics


Primary care provided for newborns through adolescence with emphasis on the treatment of minor illnesses, routine physical exams, immunizations and parent education. Newborn exams are provided at Sutter Davis Hospital soon after birth with follow-up care at the clinics.

Reproductive Health


Services for Women and Men includes preventive care and gynecological services include annual exams and pap tests, treatment for urinary tract and vaginal infections, mammogram referrals, family planning education, pregnancy testing, birth control supplies and sexually transmitted disease treatment. Teen clinics are offered at special hours at Davis Community Clinic, Peterson Clinic and Salud Clinic.

Perinatal


Prenatal and postpartum services include medical care, nutrition counseling, social worker support, childbirth classes and one-on-one health education. Deliveries are attended at Sutter Davis Hospital Birthing Center by licensed midwives and obstetricians.

Dental


Acute and preventive dental care for children and adults. Services include complete oral examinations, x-rays, cleanings, fillings, root canals, surgery, crowns, dentures and specialty referrals. Dental hygiene education, fluoride supplements and screenings are also provided in the classroom for children in preschool through grade 6.

Eye Care


Referrals from our Primary Care providers for Ophthalmology and Optometry services are available. Services include vision testing, diabetic screens and disease treatment as well as prescriptions for corrective lenses.

Behavioral Health


Mental status exams are a part of all substance abuse treatment programs. Diagnosed mental illness is addressed and included in individual treatment plans.

Teen Clinic


Teen clinics are offered at special hours at Davis Community Clinic, Peterson Clinic and Salud Clinic. Teen Clinic provides free, confidential, caring reproductive health services for teens ages 12-19.
