Pediatrics
Health care is provided for children, ages newborn through adolescence, with emphasis on the treatment of minor illnesses, routine physical exams, immunizations and parent education. Newborn exams are provided at Sutter Davis Hospital soon after birth with follow-up care at the clinics.
Pediatric Immunizations The pediatric immunization program tracks entry into care of newborns born to CommuniCare’s Perinatal program clients, in addition to all other children who come to the clinics for any health care. Computerized tracking and recall systems support up-to-date immunizations for all pediatric patients. Special immunization-only clinics are held at CommuniCare’s primary care clinics prior to the start of school each fall. Immunization services are also available on a walk-in basis during regular clinic hours.
