Reproductive Health
Services for men and women includes preventive care and
gynecological services include annual exams and pap tests, treatment
for urinary tract and vaginal infections, mammogram referrals, family
planning education, pregnancy testing, birth control supplies and
sexually transmitted disease treatment. Special teen-friendly clinics are also available at Davis Community Clinic, Peterson Clinic and Salud Clinic.
Preventive Health Program Men and women starting
in their teens are offered annual exams to encourage reproductive
health and family planning. Women receive clinical breast exams and pap
smears. Women ages 40 and older are also referred for annual
mammograms. The program provides case management services to identify
and track clients, assist clients with making regular and follow-up
appointments, assist in arranging transportation to appointments, and
in making referrals to specialists. Multi-lingual education and
learning materials are provided describing breast examinations and
mammography, and referral to mammography services. Specialists with
Sutter West Medical Group and Woodland Healthcare provide medical and
surgical intervention and follow-up.
