Dual Diagnosis is an integrated program that serves adults who are experiencing a range of mild to moderate mental health issues that complicate and contribute to their drug abuse. Clients who are experiencing significant symptoms of depression, anxiety, or a variety of other disorders can benefit from treatment that acknowledges the relationship between the co-existing disorders.
The four-phase program utilizes both individual and group treatment modalities. It integrates a variety of educational, motivational, cognitive, and behavioral strategies promoting client involvement in the process of recovery and on-going change. Attention is focused on preparing the client for treatment participation; enhancing the client’s motivation to change; monitoring symptoms of their disorders; and promoting the support of family and significant others.
Once enrolled, the program is a six to eight month commitment. Phase I requires daily attendance Monday-Friday from 1:30-3pm for 8-10 weeks. In Phase II, clients attend Monday, Thursday, and Friday for 8-10 weeks, and in Phase III clients attend Monday and Friday for 8-10 weeks. After Care (Phase IV) is on Friday for 4-6 weeks.
